Long-Term Care Nurses are responsible for caring for patients who require extended medical care.
Patients may have injuries that require a longer period of recovery, or they may have disability or illness.
Generally, these patients are moved from hospital to other facilities like nursing homes, convalescent homes, or rehabilitative facilities.
As a LTC RN, you will administer medicine, oversee treatments and ensure compliance to prescribed therapies. The general duties of keeping records in order is especially important, as well as monitoring over the patient’s progress.
