Praise for Amy
Here’s what Next Travel Nurse Recruiter Melissa Calvert had to say to about Amy, who is currently on an extension assignment as an ER nurse in Gallup, NM:
“I wanted to nominate Amy for the Daisy award because I feel like its people with hearts like hers that make a difference in the healthcare field!”
Melissa also provided several touching testimonials from patients and facility staff:
An ER patient that had been sober for just short of a year had a relapse, and she said that “the relapse was a huge blow to her and Amy showed such kindness and was incredibly sensitive to many painful issues that were brought up.”
On Thanksgiving day Amy was working in the ER, and one of the doctors took the time to write in and say, “The healthcare field is overwrought with rules and regulations which skews the foundation of caring for the masses. Saying I just want to help people becomes buried in our chaotic healthcare objectives, and we as healthcare workers become fatigued and overwhelmed. I was impressed with the interaction that I had experienced with Amy. I want the staff to know that they are appreciated. They need to hear this. For this, I give THANKS.”
